Hope

Having nothing, and nevertheless

managing to be the light clotted

with hope, a ship of night,

a silence,

a smile in the aura of your body.

Having nothing,

and be just pure, veiled, empty,

living somewhere in a spot of thirst

like a white rockrose,

or a body collapsing abruptly

among angels, clouds and mist

in the wide deep sea.

Lightning Scar

Can you survive, lost forever,

chasing a fragment, a pearl,

a broken string?

Can you survive in the sacred

music that lotus, silk

and rivers bring?

Can you live apart from the infinite

look of light and shadow?

Can you hush your blood,

your song, your dream?

Can you survive

in a lightning scar,

like a rose, a stone,

a water spring?

Stages of Shadow

The scars are canvas of sorrow,

I never forget their stages of shadow,

I never forget their moons of light.

You should never forget the ocean.

Never forget your tears.

You should never forget the sand,

the green waves,

or the beloved hands.

Nothing moves unless you cry.

You should never forget the heavy clouds,

the burning skies.

Your heart is sweet, like a tree,

like an almond.

Never turn back your face to your sorrow.

Your early maps are written

on the willows.

Fragrant Woods

I run, in the rust of time, with feet

of dance.

I hide in the shadows, in the dyed glass,

in ruby strawberries.

A grasshopper jumps on living stones.

The mineral world never questions

the graveyards of youth, the gardens

of March, the skin of the music

where violets and gold crash

in waving sounds of fragrant woods.

Golden Horn

My heart plunges in a subway season,

ancient words have burst into the ether,

float in empty barks, carry myriads

of charms.

I hold your rituals in my hands.

In the morning flutes, in the harps

of night.

I carry endless lilies and stones,

I swim in the rivers of silence,

my hair is a labyrinth of shadows.

You rear cider and wings.

I’m a strange drink in a golden horn.
